Happy 1st Anniversary to our hall.

It’s been a remarkable first year, filled with memories, milestones, and moments that have truly brought our community closer together. Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from the past year…
How the British weather nearly stopped D-Day.
We all know how important the weather is over a bank holiday weekend, especially in the spring when we hope for sunshine and blue skies. But did you know how crucial the weather was in the decision over the date for D-Day? Read about how D-Day might not have happened in our latest blog.
You can buy your tickets for our event here.
The history of beacon lighting
On Thursday 6th June this year hundreds of beacons will be lit in villages, towns and cities across the country at 9.15pm to represent the light of peace that emerged from the darkness of war. But why do we light beacons.
Read about how the lighting of beacons saved us from a Spanish invasion and why the tradition of lighting beacons continue to illuminate the hearts and minds of the British people.

All the fun of the village fair!
On Sunday April 7th the hall will hold its first Spring Fair. It will be a day to celebrate many things, not least of all the arrival of spring after a particularly grey and miserable winter. But it will also provide a day to celebrate once again the fabulous achievement of a community who set about bringing their dream of their own village hall to reality through hard work, determination and tenacity.
Parking at the Community Hall
Our current car park has spaces for 12 cars, we do have an overflow carpark (approx. 17 spaces) but unfortunately due to the unprecedented amount of rain this year, we are unable to use it. The plans to get this in place have been put on hold due to the weather, but as soon as it improves, this work will be completed and will alleviate many of the issues people have experienced with parking.
